Ringing off the hook

With the 59th annual Destin Fishing Rodeo just four days away, the phone was ringing off the hook Thursday morning. Executive Director Helen Donaldson had her hands full fielding calls and taking boat registrations. As of noon Thursday, 70 private boats and 76 charter boats had registered for the month-long fishing tournament. Work under way at A.J.’s

Less than a week from the start of the Destin Fishing Rodeo, work continues at A.J.’s Seafood and Oyster Bar for the month of October. Wednesday afternoon, one set of bleachers had been completed and another set was under construction as the restaurant prepares to host the Rodeo, which celebrates its 59th year in 2007.
